I listened to the audio book and the narrator was so good at capturing the ‘angry loser man with delusions of grandeur’ that it was honestly a little distressing on occasion

Read ‘You’ by Caroline Kepnes, I haven’t been so captivated by a book in a good while. Thrilling first person perspective from a truly obsessive man, objectification written so disgustingly well I double checked that Caroline wasn’t a pen name for a man.

Difficulty has been too farmed as some weird pride/exclusion thing rather than looking at it as a tool that drives engagement with the systems of a game. Games can be too hard for no reason in the way that sometimes prose in a book can be unnecessary obtuse, but difficult prose can be NECESSARY.

Thinking about Difficulty more because I was popping off about it on stream tonight, but I keep going back and thinking to how people give like.. intro reading/watching/listening lists for subjects that are dense and hard to get into, so people can build literacy in various mediums and genres.
