even people who are trying to do something good, you’re still going to get a few assholes, and there’s a real overtone of paternalism, and a toxic “only I can solve it” mentality. They love to give to charity, but don’t love to see their workplace get unionized! Especially if they’re the boss!

"Activist Spaces" are not some separate magical fairyland where you become a king or queen and what happens in the group stays in the group and nothing in the outside world can touch you at all.

Let’s do a podcast! There are more stories like mine out there, we should collect those so we can work on building something better. We can’t just sweep stuff under the rug because we have to “focus on fascism”. That’s the goal, but we have to do it in a way thats building something better!

It would be SO EASY to just go "We didn't know that guy was going to publish those accusations, he did it without our permission when he really shouldn't have had access to the newsletter at all, and we apologize for that misuse of the group's resources and the harm it caused the victim."

@sreeske.bsky.social is the uber mean girl! On our call today I tried to explain to her the psychological and spiritual harm that my local indivisible group did tome. She just smiled. You know those girls in high school who don’t say anything about your outfit but just give you that lookthat’s her.

This is wrecker behavior and it's similar to problems that other people are reporting, of abuse and harm coming from people who should be standing side-by-side with them. Narcissists and abusive people using these groups to hurt people they don't like, instead of focusing on resistance.
