Spent an hour fighting Gato 50ish times so I could afford the Lode Sword before I saw the first enemy. Games great, no notes. IYKYK.

I’m pleased that it would appear that with age has come a more relaxed feeling of FOMO. I went to GenCon for the first time last year and it was a blast, I would love to go back, but also, I’m pretty ok with my current situation. Wishing all my friends who are there this weekend an excellent time! 💖

I like Magic just fine these days. It’s still the greatest game ever made. But if I’m being honest, this is why I love the PPR. Gives me a chance to create an experience for our guests, and maybe introduce you to someone new to check out.

Happy Gilmore 2 was exactly what I needed today. It was funny, stupid, and it had a lot of heart.
It also really helps that I grew up on Sandler and I love golf. Made for me.

For the past several PPR’s I’ve taken our guests to one of our local record stores to add a record to the Moonbase collection. Here is what we’ve got so far.

That was always the idea with welcome decks. You’re meant to go down to your LGS and grab one at new player events.

The Welcome Decks in the PAX West swag bag is what got us back in the game. I’d argue that ended up with a positive ROI for WotC :P

Anyways, throw these in every major nerd convention for the next year and I assume that’ll likely double the player base :P

It was fun.

I had more fun watching FF, but I think Superman was the better film.

I’m not as high on Superman as you are, I think I enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed Thunderbolts*. But just sat down for FF so let’s see how this fares.

I understand it’s Comic-Con this weekend, but man, seeing all the Spider-Man stuff hitting the same weekend as EOE Prerelease is pretty rough.

EOE feels like such a great set. Stories great, art fucking slaps, and the little I’ve seen played looks solid. Bummed to see it overshadowed.

Cool. Because letting the internet evolve the way we have, which is to say with very little oversight and regulations, has worked out super fucking well for us.

Every day I inch closer and closer to walking away from tech as much as I can.

Summer camp for adults.

It's M-F. I pick you up along with 7 other adults in the morning and drop you off at dinner. You pay me and then I just take you to do shit and it's all paid for (by your fee). Breakfast, Lunch, Coffee, Hike, Board Games, Nap, Museum, Movies, and whatever else I wanna do.
