My late pastor would push back when deacons set rules and barriers that might block someone. He felt that it was better to give to someone undeserving than have someone deserving not receive because of red tape.

they won't be sustained because too many folk believe the police are helpful. When have they ever been helpful? after a crime? We think they protect us. This country supports policing because we have been taught to be afraid and the cops are our solution.
