The Thing’s entire story is about him becoming a hideous monster who can’t live like a normal person anymore, and constantly being depressed about it. For him to feign enjoying it so his mom doesn’t worry makes me love his character more and more

I’ve tried looking for groups, but I live in a small city and there’s nothing related to my hobbies! Some suggested that I open my own group, but that terrifies me lol

But what happens if you’re in a circumstance where it can’t happen naturally? Where getting out there is the only way to make it happen? Self-doubt and sitting around won’t do anything then

Genuinely, how do you actively make friends in real life? I feel like everyone I’ve met has just naturally gravitated towards me through sheer circumstance
