Just if anyone read this debate about Navalny. Following his book self reflection and latest position, few Russian and Ukrainian friends Seems like a complex personality who from dark past did improve and embrace democracy and human right vision when aging. I am not expert.

Since the start of the war, nearly 400 medical and humanitarian workers have been killed.

But again, as with Germany aftet 1945 and Adenauer. In some point, an alternative to Putin will have to exist in Russia or it will be an endless horror 😟

It looks that his book is slightly different. He was not perfect but.. the self reflection (his ideas had changed progressed quite a lot during his life) and the fact that he could have had a life of confort but chose instead to put him and his family might deserve respect even disagreeing.

- Also to target one nationality is dangerous. Not all people are extreme and fanatics.Not all US people are trump fan, not all Russian are for Putin, not all French for le pen(I hope 🙂). Politkovskaïa or Navalny for exemple were also as Russian, victims of this craziness.

- local elections : was part of the European council recommendation to increase their participation in local level. It is not implemented everywhere but was part of the initial values. As immigrant it is important have a voice on local decision (like infrastructure , daycare..) as I pay tax.

Et le problème, c’est qu’ici ou ailleurs, les clowns survivent souvent aux casseroles qui rendent leur spectacle encore plus bruyant et tragique 😒. Donc rien n’est gagné.

Being French living in Finland. I can feel that not all EU citizens or French support EU values and I know some Russian friends who are very close to EU values(who supported one Ukrainian refugee that we had home). It is much more complicated than nationality and oversimplification seems dangerous 😔
