Raider Lost in the Parks

Tiki Room got a LED upgrade, and the lighting looks great. But there’s something amiss. Do you see what I see?

Filming continues into the night. The extras we saw at the train station are now milling around at the opposite end of Main Street. And just check out all those cameras on the Walt and Mickey statue. It looks like a Circle-Vision shoot.

Well, I finally saw Walt Disney - A Magical Life. Walt looks far better in person than he does in pictures. There is still room for improvement, but I thought the show was impressive from a technical standpoint.

The grass atop Ray’s Berets is green again; however, the plants in the family plot at the Haunted Mansion are looking a little, well, dead:

The crane being used for the Avengers Campus expansion is huge and dominates the Cars Land skyline. Also, Mater lost his usual parking spot and can now be found at Fillmore’s.

The east platform of Main Street Station is closed for filming. Note the extras on the left of the second photo. Shortly after this, they loaded onto the station platform.

Filming activity has moved next to City Hall. The interior remains open. (Also, don’t think my air bag photo made my last post, oops)

Whaaat? The original Jack Wagner safety announcement has been restored to Matterhorn Bobsleds. Since 2004 or so, it said “Please remain seated with your seatbelt fastened” even after the new bobsleds with locking seatbelts were introduced. (Volume on)

Now there’s a helium-filled bag set up, and the crew has moved over by Pinocchio:

What looks like filming setup is happening in the queue for Storybookland (which is drained and scaffolded so I doubt they’ll be filming in there)

Indiana Jones had a 30 minute wait posted soon after opening…but due to the lack of Lightning Lane users it ended up taking half that.
