It's not lost on me that the part of the White House we are destroying is the part that has to do with women's history in the White House.

Robin Williams’ daughter Zelda hits out at AI-generated videos of her dead father: ‘stop doing this to him’ Film-maker tells the public to stop sending her videos, saying: ‘You’re not making art, you’re making disgusting, over-processed hotdogs out of the lives of human beings’

“I’d rather die a man than live for all eternity a machine,” is a literal Robin Williams line from Bicentennial Man. To reduce a performer whose gift was warmth and originality to digital caricature is grotesque. He and his family deserve better.

A lot of comments re: NPR reflect deep frustration, which is valid, but starving public media doesn’t improve coverage. When a major broadcaster goes, partisan and billionaire-funded outlets fill the gap. Listeners who want accountability need to fund newsrooms they expect to hold power to account.

Media corporations that destroy their popular content under government pressure will soon find they are losing what is left of their audiences, not so much because of boycotts and ideological cancellations, but because neutered propaganda is boring.
