I should add that Broad St has a great wide multi use paved sidewalk. With lots of apartments and homes near by, 100’s of kids walk to school.

West Bedford is a gong show. They have a “kiss and go” loop for the elementary side but refuse to let people use it. It pushes drop off to a bottom parking lot or street where kids are more in danger

And never once has the school published a map of parking / drop off,

The wind is also denser when it’s colder. So more energy per a given wind speed.

Winds tend to blow faster at night and in the winter, which is why wind is pretty great in electrified future scenarios - it aligns well with demand for space heating, the main driver of electricity demand peaks in grids with deep electrification. Also why wind nicely complements solar.

I'm glad that @christianonre.bsky.social increasingly includes nuclear in his analysis, if only to show that adding nuclear is really more expensive than a system running completely (100%) on renewables.
