The cost helped ensure I never started again. I remember clocking when it got to £10 and that felt insanely expensive.

I’ve only done the first 2 episodes of Children of the Stones so far but it was unnerving from the opening sequence!

Sapphire and Steel is a rewatch so I do at least know what I’m getting myself into…

I will say that if cost and distance ever becomes doable, staying in the Gally hotel does make it fairly easy for you to slip off back to your room for a while. My trip there was post-COVID and I had a couple of overwhelming moments so it was nice to just go sit on my own for a bit.

I read the book years ago and can’t believe I’m only TODAY finding out they made a film!

I think it probably is. There is clearly a greater overarching plan and the regulars all get fleshed out. It needed LOM first to build on. I’ve never got around to a full rewatch of A2A and really should one day.

Friend and I bonded over Ashes To Ashes during 6th form.

I’ve been going to England games for 20 years now. Jerusalem used to be like more of an unofficial anthem and was spontaneously sung by the crowd (alongside Swing Low), yet today it has moved up to getting an official singer on the PA singing it before God Save the King. I do much prefer it.

Similar for me with the Dalek and Cyberman stories. I’ve only come around to liking Remembrance more in recent years (the bluray sets often help in reappraising), but it’ll still never trump the Resurrection bloodbath for me!

I’ve a fondness for Mawdryn Undead - really enjoyed the timey wimey Blinovitch and lore elements when I originally watched it, and still think having a bloke walking around with a brain hanging out is cool as fuck.
