Yeah, hadn't considered this - certainly better to threaten on multiple fronts. Also we are lethal from set pieces (sorry to the rest of the league but they count the same as any other goal)

But what actually told for us in this game was bog standard Arteta-ball. Mikel Merino's usual deft aerial dominance and big Gabi from a corner. Exactly the kind of chances we would look for **with the proverbial handbrake on**

The first half was very true to that in a sense that I thought Vic and Eze posed a really different kind of threat than we normally do. We stretched Newcastle and transitioned v quickly. Vic ran the channels really well.

I would've told you before the match that the difference was we had more ways of winning and Newcastle had fewer after losing Isak.

What I find so remarkable about that game is we were staring down the barrel of what's happened *so* many times before. Put Newcastle under early pressure, don't take our chances, they score, we struggle to break them down.

Not a foul apparently.
