A cold light of day and at times painful assessment of the game from Jonathan Liew. Arsenal home crowd has the shortest of fuses... to an extent understandably so. But does my head in that people can't enjoy where we are or understand how good things are.

Brilliant line in here: "It began with North London Forever and by the end we felt as though we had been in north London for ever". 😂

Yeah he brings lots of control (minus insane error). I like Hincapie at LB much more than LCB too…

Although that was a nervy last few minutes, at 1-0 down and later in the game at 2-3, I felt such calm from the boys. This does feel different to last season and Wolves/ Palace moments. They didn’t drop deep, they just played decent football.

I can't help but like Hincapie and have every faith he will end up being a very good CB. In many ways reminiscent of an early Gabriel BUT seems rash, not quite sure when to jump in and when to drop off. And you're spot on, purely from a size perspective it seems logical to put Benny Blanc at RCB.

Are we choosing the wrong CBs to cover for Big Gabby and Saliba? Thought Calafiori looked class last night, Hincapie has great aggression but seems to teeter on the edge of disaster. Would love to see him have a go at LB.

Wouldn't mind seeing Hincapie at LB considering his marauding qualities and also feel that Cala is more experienced in an Arsenal context (not as a CB) so wonder if he could provide a bit more stability.

Genuinely think Calafiori would do a decent big Gabby impression

It would be nice to play someone when we have all our players fit and the opposition are in the midst of an injury crisis.

I actually think we were stronger for Timber’s presence at CB on Wednesday. Thank God for Benny Blanco’s form and fitness. Feels like we’re really on the ropes physically but certainly enough quality in there to win.

Yeah... tbh though they took decent players out of that 11. So negative, so lacking in on-ball quality. Also I thought Romero and Van De Ven were meant to be good when they weren't injured??!! But we are miles better than them!
