1. For the past thirty years I've had the best job in the world.


I've had the opportunity to follow my curiosity; explore the workings of nature and society; mentor students and junior colleagues in the same process; and teach generations of students about it all.

I had the same one in mind, also EEID in Notre Dame in June. In addition to the danger of traveling, I also wonder if these events can take place at all, if we cannot talk about climate change, or social inequities in health? Don't know if NIH people are allowed to attend conferences at the moment?

Agreed. Examples such as this one are so concerning. I'm thinking about the great time I had two years in a row at #TropMed #ASTMH with such a diverse audience from all around the world. It's hard to imagine that it could happen again anytime soon...
