Even if they did a 180 right now they've already ruined my trust.
A month ago if you'd asked me if I was going to get a Switch 2 I would have given an enthusiastic yes.
Now I think I'll pass on the console entirely. Maby I'll think about it again in a few years.

If wages and buying power had kept up with inflation, I don’t think nearly as many people would mind games going up in price. The fact is, even if $80 is what is needed to match the $60 price from 2017 due to inflation, the general public has less buying power and can’t afford the hit.

Annyway, enough arguing with people.
I'ma talk about something neat. With the Transformers drought starting, I decided to start watching Robitech/Maccross.
It's been a good time so far. A janky 80s dub, but a fun one. Also, cool transforming robots.

That's a lot more fair a take then some of the people currently arguing at me.
It was my experience in the opposite direction.
I noticed a tiny difference for a couple seconds, my eyes adjusted and I stoped noticeing.
It's a very taxing difference on my pc for not alot of benefit imo.

I didn't judge anyone beond that they get defensive.

Stability is very important. You'll never see me arguing about that.
60fps over 30fps however, is a pet peve and a hill I will die on. It just urks me when people call 30 fps unplayable and I can't even easily see the difference.

Do movies make you motion sick, because they are usually shot below 30?
I always thought it was motionn blurr that made people motion sick, but that has nothing to do with FPS.

Only fighting game I've eve played is Smash. It's probably at 30. Felt just fine to me.

I can't say ive seen anything I'd call strobing or flicker since the days of vhs, and that's well under 1080p.

I grew up on PS2, and pretty much never had to worry about frame rates. Almost everything I played was smooth 30fps.
The only time I ever noticed it was if I had a game that stuttered.
I didn't even start thinking about FPS untill the previous generation.

I didn't say YOU are a snob nessicarilly, but whenever I see "I could never go back to 30, it looks so bad" type coments my first reaction is always "What are you even talking about, there's barley a difference."

HOW! The only way for me to be sure what the framerate is is with a frame counter. It would have to be under 30fps before I could even try to guess.

I'm the opposite man. I can play the same game accross Switch and PS5 and the only difference I'll notice is textures and loadin times.
I've played mostly 30fps my whole life. I didnt play a game at 60 untill my PS5. So if you grew up on 60 there may be something there that makes it more ingrained?

I pass my vision tests just fine. I'm not sure what you are seeing, but I've always been convinced frame rate snobs are always overexagerating the difference to justify their expensive PCs.

I have a hard time believing you easily see the difference. I was activly trying to see the difference and was only able to notice by playing the same game (Persona 5 Strikers) on Switch and then on PS5 and the PS5 had very slightly smooter animation that I only noticed when watching the cloak flow.

Not many. I vastly prefer 3rd person.
I have played a few though. Subnautica and metroid Prime are the first that come to mind.

I'll admit that when I did my side by side test I did it on my phone, but if it takes a side by side comparison to notice the difference, the difference isn't worth it.

I'd never describe 1080 as blurry, it looks crystal clear to me. At 720 I can see a little blurr, but it's not distracting. I have to go lower before I'd start describing the image as fuzzy.

Petty sure the TV is high resolution, but I don't remember the max. It's not mine, I didn't buy it.
Wouldn't even begin to onow how to change blursy player settings, I barely use it and mostly stream from YouTube or Netflix.

Medeocraty is so stupid. Ive been on YouTube videos and tried all the settings. I literally can not tell a difference above 1080. At that point I'm just waisting bandwith for no tangible benefit.

It's always funny to me how defensive people get when someone points out that the quest for higher resolution and faster framerates is pointless
The human eye can't even see 4k lol.
I bever set anything higher than 1080p and I usually run games at 30 because the difference between 30 and 60 is tiny.

I'd happily watch a movie at 720 lol.

It was kinda impressive how they made an alredy bottom tier story worse lol.
At least the Shadow Gens side was good.

It took everything that worked from the first 2 movies, cut out most of what didn't, and added more of the game elements and characters arcs we've been asking for.
