Members are being asked to approve measures to employ outside consultants a transformation and efficiency programme. The cost of this? Up to £5 million.

They must already know that the vast majority of the Council buget is swallowed up by legally required spending and there is next to nothing that can be cut. This £5 million contract looks like being the biggest waste of public money in Derbyshire. Who is lined up to get this £5m gift?
