Seeing Bishop to chat about discernment / vocations stuff on Tuesday

Praying for grace & confidence as I try discern & articulate what God’s been up to over the past year. Thankful for courage & His empowering spirit to get through some stuff

Thanking God on #WorldMentalHealthDay for Sertraline & Propranolol allowing me to function. For Peter Dobson for living with the ups & downs of my life & for not allowing me to be defined by my anxiety & trauma or to give up on my calling & for Finley the labradoodle for cuddles when I’m not 100%

Help us to accept your peace, which we may not always understand or comprehend, to guard our hearts & minds. Help us to be part of that peace for others.

Forgive us our abuse of power, our complicity of silence, our unwillingness to see the consequences on those we are called to serve.

Help us to live & lead with integrity & authenticity, an openness & honesty of our own struggles as we offer to you all that we are.

Give us courage in the face of fear, bless us with your presence of wisdom & guidance in those who counsel, who prescribe, who triage, who listen.

Create in our structures & leaders contrite hearts, help us to reflect on the damage we ourselves inflict when we ignore & other.

Praying on #WorldMentalHealthDay
for a compassionate & empathetic Church.

Where the power & challenge of the cross leads not to trauma, gaslighting or anxiety but rather to new life, truth & hope. In the darkness of depression or chaos of confusion bring your light & peace.

I will thank you, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and glorify your name for evermore;
For great is your steadfast love towards me, for you have delivered my soul from the depths of the grave.
