Have you considered writing a popular book about your experiences in the classroom, and how they shape your attitude to games? Including TTRPGs, but not for a TTRPG audience.

Today is the day to repost this meme about International Men's Day, one of the most unironically wholesome memes that has ever been made.

A black background decorated with gold illustrations of branches, stars, swords, ravens, and tiny ghost shapes. In the centre, bold text reads: β€œBIRDS BUT THEY GET SPOOKIER EACH TIME.” Two ravens perch on bare branches at the bottom, with candles glowing beside them.

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 999:
It’s not just the story that matters, it’s the person telling it. Your stories are filtered through your experience, your culture, your upbringing, your identity. Don’t be afraid to let it show. Those things matter. You matter.

I feel this skeet captures something of what it's like to be a writer in 2025.

Be prepared for the chapters to vary in length. Some of the early ones are very short. Enjoy!

I've just read that Zelazny. Really enjoyed it. Wish it had occurred to me to read it in 'real time'.

Try putting the bhaji in the CD player.

I read this too fast and momentarily thought you had made up a sachet of Angel Delight preserved from the 1970s.

Enjoyed that. The University convention you ran Squadron UK at was probably Conpulsion.

Last time I was in an NYC game store, I spotted some sealed Mythos CCG boosters on a high shelf and blew the last of my spare dollars on them. They had at least a quarter inch of accumulated dust.

Go to a big bed shop IRL. Try the weird scanner thing if you like, but don't put too much stock in its opinion. Lie on every single mattress you like the look of. It's worth investing in a good one because you will get huge value out of it.
