If I was going to be exceedingly fair, he might need everything on the autocue, but it was up there word for word, even the "real" bit at the end.

This was the paying for the messy divorce tour, so he wasn't in a good place, but it reeked of low effort.

Absolutely. It's also hard to get up and down for the pots at floor level.

Essentially a struggle to see who can be gothiest, or brood most darkly?

I think there's a grumpy old bugger with a touch of main character syndrome lurking behind that saintly exterior.

That's what started this debate.

Well, that and drink.

It might be a very basic choice, but I choose Squadron UK!

...and I thought I'd been following you for ages, it came as quite a shock to find I wasn't.

Mikey, NO!

I saw Cleese in a one man show where he gave a touching tribute to Chapman. Lovely, except he was reading from autocue and had the car running outside the stage door.

As with us all, they are difficult in some respects, but Chapman is a big shout. I reckon an evening with him would be as likely to end up in a fight as a hug.

...and I think I've committed when I've printed out a few handouts.

She was Christie's choice for Marple.

I'm particularly sure that I read her that way.

Correct Bill, this is why you're my favourite.

I can, and have, learned a lot from Simon, but when players detach a Golden Heroes character sheet from the pad, there's a positive reverence for the act.

It doesn't matter how bad a "GM" I am after that.

As Roy Walker would say, it's good, but it's not right.

Which member of Monty Python (living or ex) would you most like to go for a drink with?

Your input will be included in an ongoing fierce debate

You should, and I would definitely watch it.

Just be aware that Fractal by Nature is the name of my maths based rap posse and we're notably litigious.

I was trying to get placement students to do a Mandelbrot project for years. First on CPU and then on hardware acceleration. By the time someone volunteered, it was irrelevant as the CPU was too fast.

I went to Element Games on Drury Lane. I can confirm that they have ALL the paint.

If only I could remember what it was that I wanted.

Wait until they find out what the B stands for in Benoit B Mandelbrot!

Luckily, I was very selective when I moved over here after fleeing the hellhole.

On his drinking, I don't believe he drinks pints unless there's a camera crew nearby.

Not a man of the people by any definition.

Absolutely 100% this.

I had the H3N2 flu before Christmas and was getting grief because I refused to travel to a meeting that I did attend remotely.

When you're ill, you're ill, it's not a choice.

I played in @orlanth.bsky.social 's campaign. I am also fascinated by 2d20's apparently subtly different implementations that give wildly different games.

I ran Conan and enjoyed it, I liked JC quite a bit, but found the background less accessible.

I have space 1999 and Achtung Cthulu to run.

Thanks for playing Golden Heroes Simon, it was an honour.

You were definitely at Grogmeet 2019, I played in your GH game and we were both in a lightweight rules version of a classic D&D scenario (which I obviously can't remember).
