I'm in the midst of onboarding users so this is shit timing. But I added Google sso, and migrated to aws ses. Twilio and sendgrid can fuck right off.

I have been using sendgrid for emails in loomgraph.com. Just your basic confirm email, reset password stuff. Sendgrid just cancelled my account and deleted it out of nowhere. I maybe sent 25 emails in a month. So my user reg is broken and I had to scramble to fix everything.

My go to language for any new project has usually been python. I tried Go for the first time when I built loomgraph and it's been great. So many less headaches esp compared with python and the async stuff. I think it's my new favorite language although I still need lots of help with syntax sometimes

Work decided to RTO us 4 days a week to foster more collaboration. My only way out of this hell is to keep building and creating. I recently started a company and have been full speed ahead. Unfortunately I had to pause any game dev, which sucks. It's really the only passion I have.

Yep from a graph perspective you can build out complex logic. Now the tricky part is I tend to make a few assumptions on how a graph gets serialized into json, which might be limiting at this moment.

Loomgraph node serialization exporter.

You can add attributes to each node, which allows you to extend its data footprint. For instance in my game I use QuestId, QuestType, Description, CompletedLogText, etc etc. These attributes will be serialized with each node on export. My own use case is I then load this JSON into a #UE5 Datatable

To solve a problem I had, I have been building a node base narrative tool, so I can visually see my quests/steps and I can edit the flow, attributes, etc. This allows me to export into json to import into #UE5. www.loomgraph.com I plan on opening this up to users in the next few weeks.

Going through my early Pocket saves before they shut down for good. It's such a snapshot of time. Lots of cocos2d, iOS obj-c references and tutorials, 2d game dev, early Unity3d stuff, XNA. Is some ways things have changed, but in many ways it stays the same. Still doing the same stuff mostly.

I have been a #destiny player since the d1 alpha. I put so much time into that game over the years. Mostly as a solo player. It's a bittersweet moment when you realize a game passes you by. The same with WoW, ESO. All good things eventually come to an end.
