10.02.2026 04:50 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Yep. If a car does something bad, then itβs βok.β But if any bicyclist does something wrong, all hell breaks loose.
That speaks volumes about our car-brained, double-standard society.
I remember this scene from when I was a kid. And I love it even more an adult.

This was huge on Twitter back in the day and we need to keep it going on Bluesky. The annual #TreeByBike haul begins and your photos will be an inspiration to everyone. ππ²
When bike paths are safe and easy to use, more people are likely to ride bikes, which helps keep everyone healthier and reduces healthcare costs.
26.11.2025 20:32 β π 132 π 14 π¬ 4 π 4I needed to haul something very large and heavy today. Did I buy a pickup truck, saddling myself with insane monthly payments, insurance, and maintenance? Nope, I rented one for $80, did the task, and returned it. It's that simple.
13.11.2025 16:02 β π 148 π 17 π¬ 6 π 1Very much so. Through bicycling, Iβve unexpectedly connected with my neighborhood/community and I find it very satisfying.
20.07.2025 17:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I also made friends at Open Street-type events such as CicLAvia/ActiveStreets SGV in LA. I didnβt think that would ever happen.

The PE's first interurban rail line, the Long Beach Line, began service #OTD in 1902 and lasted until April 1961. Most of it was rebuilt in 1990, known today as the Metro (A) Line.
SBLA editor @lintonjoe.bsky.social is posting live coverage of todayβs #LaVerne A Line Station dedication ceremony. Foothill A Line extension to Pomona is completed and will open soon - likely July/Aug/Sept 2025.

Finally at the brand spankin' new @metrolosangeles.bsky.social LAX/Metro Transit Center Station!
#Westchester
When I learned years ago that the LAX Metro Transit Center was costing $900 million to build, I didnβt understand how a light rail stop could be so expensive, and thought it was a massive waste
Wow, was I wrong. They built a generational piece of civic infrastructure.
Hey, you know what goes really fast, takes up a lot more space, emits a lot more pollution/noise/GHG emissions, costs a lot more public money, and is FAR more dangerous in cities than any kind of bike in a city where most donβt drive?
Cars.
So, about that βenough is enoughββ¦
So the shuttle buses between the terminals and the new Metro transit center only operate between 4am and 1am and not 24 hrs/day?
Does LAX close between 1am and 4 am?π€
I wish more businesses did this!
