I highly value having ideas and emphasize the need for creativity... but this stance seems like a subtle way to gatekeep a field. AI will advance and will be a tool people use in the generation of ideas

I wish papers were more descriptive of the progression of science as it actually unfolded, rather than an after-the-fact compact description of hypoth.+expts. Often the hypothesis in the final paper is not exactly what was started with... May have epistemological value...
