Don't know about the V-40 but used to own a V-50 and it had some real deficiencies in build quality, mostly interior at first and then lots of premature rust in the chassis and need for replacement springs, etc. I ended up getting 100K mi. out of it but it left a bad taste in my mouth for the brand.

You can keep the spotlight on issues and shame the other side into voting with you to a degree. Yes it's tough but this narrative that you're helpless and can do nothing whatsoever is untrue. An opposition party opposes -- it doesn't capitulate.

The legit critique is that Dems are often not doing even what a minority party could do. Too many unforced errors & missed opportunities with the rationalization that we're playing 4th dimensional chess. Too many useless old men not making way for the young, on whose shoulders all this really falls.

Here in the US we don't have religious education in public schools (yet) but what I would want to see instead is the teaching of critical thinking skills, identification of logical fallacies, etc. It'll never happen here though. Can't have little Sally coming home and asking uncomfortable questions.

My parents came to fundamentalism in their 40s (I wasn't quite 6) when they had already been socialized to be decent people so I escaped the worst of these harms, but it took me many years to learn to think for myself. So for me the disparagement of "mere human wisdom" was the worst of it.

A Minnesota woman observing ICE agents in her car was cornered on one-way streets. An agent approached, called her by name—citing facial recognition. Days later, her Global Entry and TSA privileges were revoked, with no explanation.

You're assuming that bad actors follow or care about the law or the constitution. That even attempting to subvert elections doesn't change participation or outcomes in ways useful to those making the attempt.

Operational Security 101 -- don't have the original and backups in the same place. They should have been in multiple other places in fact. Other election offices had better pay attention here.
