How Europeans' fear of their own power makes them impotent.

I disagree that Europe had 'no other choice' but to sign the πͺπΊπΊπΈ π¬π§πΊπΈ surrender deals with Trump.
But even if this were true, how can Europeans be content with such a situation?
This continent needs an independence revolution. Here's how to get there:
It's time for a European revolution. Our Atlanticist leaders have driven us into a ditch

Wild. If Spain used the same electoral system as the US to elect its leader, there would be a permanent conservative majority.

I should have some more news on this to share later this month.

This does not look good.
01.08.2025 07:25 β π 23 π 4 π¬ 1 π 0Indeed the Union *is* the member states.
The EU itself is neither good nor bad, it is whatever the people of Europe choose it to be within the confines of its democratic structure.
It's clear that structure isn't working. But it's also clear that the EU is the only way give Europeans sovereignty.
I don't think the European political class has fully grasped how much credibility the EU has lost with pro-Europeans over the past year.
The constant gaslighting by our leaders on the subjects of Trump and Israel are making it very difficult for people like myself to keep defending the union.
Europe doesn't have the cards. National leaders are to blame. They keep Europe small, so they can feel big. Intra-EU barriers in the single market cost us more than Trump's tariffs. Europe's weakness is not unavoidable, it is a choice. My blog on π open.substack.com/pub/sophiein...

The EUβs $1.35 trillion trade and energy concessions to Donald Trump cement Europeβs juniorβpartner status. Unless leaders endure shortβterm pain, they will sacrifice longβterm power and sovereignty.

31.07.2025 09:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0First came the UK's surrender deal in May.
Then came NATO's "daddy" grovelling in June.
Now we have the EU's consent to vassalage in July.
I shudder to think what's next in August.
My take on the decades of sovereignty progress erased in just 6 months:
Perhaps the most enraging thing about Europe's Surrender Summer is that each time our leaders have sold their citizens down the river to appease their American masters, they've then turned around and gaslit us saying it's a great thing for Europe.
30.07.2025 15:58 β π 9 π 1 π¬ 1 π 1Through their EU and NATO capitulations, Europeans are only further entrenching their dependence on America.
Buying more πΊπΈweapons in a US-controlled framework does not make Europe safer. Nor does locking in πΊπΈfossil fuel purchases and endorsing US illegal tariffs.
We are moving backwards.
That is some serious cope.
30.07.2025 08:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0From NATO's "daddy" grovelling in The Hague to the EU's 'peace in our time' capitulation in Turnberry, this has been Europe's Surrender Summer.
We will enter Autumn in a submissive posture thanks to our leaders' betrayal of their citizens. Is it still possible to flip around?
It is very disturbing that many are justifying the EU's trade war surrender to Trump by saying: 'we have to do it otherwise the US won't defend Ukraine'
Will EU citizens accept being US vassals in order to stop Ukraine becoming a Russian vassal?

29.07.2025 21:23 β π 120 π 30 π¬ 7 π 1In fact it seems to me that the people resolutely defending von der Leyen right now and deluding themselves into thinking the EU is playing chess while Trump is playing checkers are remainers in the UK.
The EU does bad things sometimes. This is one of those times.
I suggest you look into this a bit more. Not everything is black and white, two things can be true. The EU has both surrendered *and* this is not the trade deal that the Trump administration is pretending it is.
There is a reason that the Brussels bubble is aghast at this.
This is a good explainer of why what the EU has done has destroyed the global rules-based trade order and locked it into servitude:
29.07.2025 13:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0What was agreed wasn't a deal, it was a unilateral surrender. The EU agreed to accept the 15% tariffs and not object to them at the WTO, and they agreed to extortionate demand to pay billions in energy and weapons.
Whatever the details end up being, the Europeans surrendered.

But the issue is that the EU has just legitimised illegal tariffs.
