My brother-in-law arrived in Bologna with an entire suitcase full of Velveeta and Campbell's tomato soup. For real. (And finished it before they left, at the end of their two-week stay.) So... it happens, but yeah. It's definitely weirdo behavior.

I kind of love that the day began with a magical solution for turning crappiness into happiness. It set just the right tone going into the weekend. ✨🌡πŸͺ¨ #opalite

Authenticity is kind of the defining floating signifier of the times.

The last line is really the key, I think. Not that people have lost interest in authenticity, but that we're constantly trying to figure out what that means and looks like in these digital environments--not just from AI, but also humans and corporations trying to perform/exploit it.

A lot of people think that every international student admitted means one fewer spot for domestic students, when the opposite is more likely true - the tuition revenue international students bring allows public universities to provide substantial discounts to domestic students, improving access.
