Very happy to go to Siccar Point any time with visiting geologists! And I can tell you all about the project I'm leading for Edinburgh Geological Society to improve access and interpretation as part of Hutton's Tercentenary next year.

The construction is pretty amazing, a lot of the stones used were already weathered, probably loose blocks (of basalt) from the base of the adjacent cliff.

I am so privileged to visit Siccar Point again and again (third time this week) and see it in different moods, and in the company of geologists and non-geologists all of whom see different aspects of this unique and special place. No. Although birds did sometimes intervene it was primarily a geology trip. We went during the day to see the rocks!
