I actually think it’s a good thing that there are people who devote their working lives to studying something that may only be of interest to a small number of people, who get on here with great excitement and say “I nerded the heck out of this for three years, I’m proud of me, read my article!”

I have actually wondered if Bluesky is a problem for me because recommendations I hear here (and only here) are making me buy *too many* books.

Midway through life's journey, I am finally catching up to the pleasures of reading a book first in print, then a few years later by audiobook.

The ear catches what the eye missed. Maybe it's as close as you can get to reading a book once again for the first time?
