As a nurse who took care of her dying Mom too, my advice is to get her on a fentanyl patch if possible, with oral morphine used for additional pain. Every 2 hours oral meds will wear everyone out quickly. Patches actually use less medication while providing a more constant relief. I'm so sorry.💔

Only one pharmacy has oral morphine in stock & they are running low. Even the hospitals Central pharmacy is out of it.

The Hospice nurse told me that 2 manufacturers stopped making it & the ones that are still making are only allowed to make so much.

The healthcare system sucks.
