While reporting this, I had something happen that's never happened. A comms rep for one of the co's disputed my reporting and said what I was telling them was untrue because it was not in Grok, xAI's chatbot.

I was looking directly at the files. And this person was using AI to challenge the truth.

You notice I said "called for", not "will". The problem as I see it, in this one specific case, is not whether it can actually happen, it's that POTUS is talking openly about things that are just plain unconstitutional. His whole f**king job is "preserve, protect, and defend" the Constitution IIRC

Now the world knows that Americans are unstable and untrustworthy. Even if we survive this term with elections intact, even if our next president is one to be proud of, everyone knows that we might elect some idiot thug at any time. Our place in the world as we have always known it is gone for good.

I keep reading about how embarrassing Trump's speech in Davos was. That is the very least of it. No country in the world will ever trust us again, and rightly so. They were willing to give us another chance after electing him once; surely we had learned. We learned nothing. We elected him again.
