What did we learn from this other than how cringe it was.

This interview was cringe worthy. Between the reporter saying World Cup games coming to DC and the gimmicky answers, it was almost unwatchable. I'm a MLS sicko who is a Union fan, but I feel like they are "pissing on my leg and telling me it's raining."

The club was formally in USL League 2 under an old name. @theuslshow.bsky.social questioned how they couldn't find fans to hold up the merchandise.

At what point does it come a concern that they aren't great in possession? I feel like I've seen a decent amount of games where the open field play is not as dangerous/good as the set pieces.

What a game. Great for a nuetral and absolute insanity in both directions as an El Paso fan.

As a Raven's fan, it's nice to see 2 teams working together to keep being mediocre.

This team missed someone versed in the dark arts. European development lends itself to better technical which lines up perfect for European opponents. Against CONCACAF, it requires a lot more physically and dark arts to beat a team.

This team lacked the final 3rd quality and that physicality. I wanted to see more dark arts. Outside of the goal, the US was better in the the back and middle 3rd. they needed a goal.

playing out of the back went oh-so-wrong oh-so-often during MLS's opening weekend

Is this something we should worry about with Blake? He struggled with fitness last year and the Union seem to struggle when he wasn't on the field IMO.

What are realistic expectations for this club? Are the playoffs attainable?

When I have off weekends, Everton is normally on one of the screens. It's good to see them score under Moyes. It was awful to watch previously.

If you're going to be a sweeper keeper, you have to be decisive and he wasn't. I'm at the point where Petrovic should be number 1 after his loan spell or Sanchez shouldn't be a sweeper keeper.
