Bruce Arena believes Quakes "will add another attacking player in the next week or two," says SJ are already way ahead of last year, particularly defensively. Specifically cites Ronaldo Vieira, Beau Leroux and Niko Tsakiris (him mentioning the latter is esp notable, imo)

He watches the end-to-end 3-3 draw, and texts his agent

This reinforces my and @mlsist.bsky.social's long-term vision of a Team Hawaii relaunch to offer a chaotic late-night viewing option for Europe and global sickos
Timo Werner now speaking to journos about joining San Jose Earthquakes. Asked about his level of familiarity with MLS, he says, "Because of the time difference, I didn't watch a lot of games. But here and there I watched some games, because when we had, for example, late games in Germany..."

“It's a big deal for our club. We're spending a lot of money... But Mateusz, he put some skin in the game as well.”
The Houston Dynamo just splashed 💵 on half a dozen new signings, and today the biggest went official.
I caught up with Mateusz Bogusz yesterday:

Being criticized for supporting the injection of additional funds into player compensation, after having played with a full-time job and housed teammates on welfare ten years ago in this very league, might perhaps be the nicest thing that’s happened to me so far this year.

A photo of the mayor of the Dalles, Oregon staring wistfully out of the window at his the high desert down in the Columbia River
Last week, OPB published an investigation into The Dalles' efforts to expand its water reservoir in the Mount Hood National Forest at the same time that Google expands its footprint in the city. This week, The Dalles Mayor Richard Mays raised questions about OPB's reporting in a Facebook post that included a four-page letter from the city's retired public works director Dave Anderson.
An in-depth, line-by-line review of the article in response to the letter found one error, which OPB has corrected and noted in the original story. The projected monthly residential water rates are expected to go up 99% by 2036, not 7% as we originally reported.
Oregon Public Broadcasting issued the coldest correction I’ve ever seen this week.

'The Union now aren’t just viewed as the top American club for developing US nat'l team talent, they can put numbers behind it.
