A friend just returned from Antarctica, including a trip to Damoy Hut, a former British Antarctic Survey shelter that's preserved as a heritage site. And what were polar scientists reading in the 80s to pass time during a blizzard? Why, the Thrill Power of @2000ad.bsky.social of course!

Saw Predator: Badlands today. Loved it. Easily the *counts on fingers* 4th best Predator film.

Pretty sure I was at that one in the SEC, I was skanking with my pals that hard that I headbutted the back of a wee boy's head in front of me, he clutched his head in pain, and slowly turned round to see who did it, tears in his eyes, and I pointed at my pal. It still gets brought up to this day.

I rarely see video games that aren't FIFA or Singstar in charity shops, so when I saw this I was like "YOINK!". There was a guy stacking the shelves and I almost snatched the game out of his hand, I waited around to see what else he was going to shelve but there was nothing that interested me.

Found Resident Evil 4 for the PS2 for 2 quid in a charity shop. Yaldi. Been a while since I found a bargain game in a charity shop. Opened it up and found ancient artifacts; added my own to continue the story.

I played Aliens UK for hours one rainy Sunday afternoon, determined to kill 158 aliens at the start because there were only 158 colonists on LV426 and I thought I could cheese the game; nope, infinitesimally more aliens.

Managed to complete it though. It's a great game once you get into it.

Guess who won the Cathouse Halloween costume contest?
Female Pinhead, Florence Pugh from Midsommar and myself were called on stage and the crowd had to pick, genuinely thought one of them would win, but the crowd picked me; cash prize and Osiris vouchers, yaldi!

Kind of looks like the reverse of the Isle of the Dead paintings.

No idea what I'm doing. Bought a cheapo pair of gutties, bleached them, painted them red, now I'm trying to attach this canvas before adding a fuck-tonne of eyelets. My sewing skills are getting better, but this is going to test them.

Every year I tell myself "I'll get tickets for the annual SLF St Paddy's Day gig at the Barrowlands" and every year they're sold out straight away. This year was worse cos they played Glasgow TWICE, the Barrowlands and the Kelvingrove bandstand. Both were sold out. Gutted.

Found images of the actual badges Hobie Brown wears on-screen, and made my own cos I've got a badge maker (don't be jealous) and stuck them on my SpiderPunk battle jacket.

Painted and strung my SpiderPunk guitar. Printed off the guitar's stickers and glued them on, found some old wood effect wallpaper and stuck pits on to look like wear and tear, then went nuts with some Monster markers to make it look cartoony.

Two black canvas straps with badly sewn seams, the longer of the two adorned with metal spikes, the other, square studs.

More screwing and punching (and sewing), made some wrist/arm-bands for the SpiderPunk costume. A safety pin should be good enough to wear them. If not, I'll work something out. Why buy stuff when you can make it?

Looked up fictional bands in the Marvel Universe & painted patches for them, my baseline Spiderman onesie arrived today along with foam clay to make head spikes & new eyes, and silver leather cord to make guitar strings & barbed wire.
