yeah DLSS is arguably worse than just regular upscaling if a dev absolutely must render at extremely low resolutions due to the extra issues it creates. I would honestly argue though that devs shouldn’t find it acceptable to drop so much resolution in the first place rather than blaming the upscale

DLSS looks good when you’re rendering from a normal resolution like 1080p. In those cases it looks like native with better antialiasing. The issues modern gaming suffers from is allowing their games to render sub-720p. The loss in detail is almost impossible to come back from.
