Old-timey camera with a bellows for the lens. Vastly preferable to a hump that sticks out of one’s iPhone at all times.

I’d have zero issue with a flat camera that takes selfie-quality photos by default, but I can activate an old-timey bellows for the nicer shots.

Even the iPhone Air with a “bumper” case on it will still have a protrusive hump. 🤬

Preach!!! I have been thinking the same thing for years. I neither want nor appreciate thinness. I like laying a “bar” phone flat on a table. Fill that space in with battery, air, candy—I don’t care. Just give me a flat back!

“Feeling pressure” is such a mendacious way to describe what working class families are experiencing. “Being intentionally starved by runaway corporate greed while funding for social programs is gleefully slashed” would be closer.
