Also, the bubble is currently bursting, and our economy is tied up in this tech meaning many people are about to suffer unnecessarily at the hands of the richest people in the world. This is all by design, but, I think there is now a general awakening of class consciousness that needs to accelerate.

He's not 100% wrong, but he isn't right, either. AI isn't capable of replacing even entry-level "white collar" jobs but it will cause layoffs. The greater problems are it's other effects. In particular, it's a thought-terminating machine & we should center *that* discussion ASAP.

I don't go to the gay bar anymore, even though I'm acquainted with the owner and I know he's got my back.

I think we need to create new groups and processes and institutions for ourselves so that we can thrive as a community. Welcoming new or isolated people into that community will save lives!

My parents had a way easier time explaining gay people to me than trying to explain the ending of Camelot, which I could not understand and asked about constantly for days.

Things can be so much better than they are. As part of fighting back all the unnecessary horrors going on at present, let us build that better future that goes far beyond the prior status quo. Universal basic income and healthcare are moral imperatives. We are so far beyond any need for deprivation.
