say what you will, but we indisputably live in the Cruelty Squad decade. basically everything about the current era is encapsulated in that game. probably the most 2020's piece of art in any medium i can think of.

an enigmatic and bright blur of the stranger's various incarnations. the only thing clear is their lashed eye staring straight at us.

The Stranger is a sort-of avatar. A reincarnating entity or perhaps a demi-god that is reborn in either Housven or Mystoul every so often. It’s unknown who they are or where they come from, only that their affiliation and affection lies with us.
