We are absolutely ecstatic that as part of their #SASweek25 celebrations, the @rcpsych.bsky.social have decided to become the sixth college support the #SASsix campaign. We love it!

It’s the start of #SASWeek25 🎉
Each day we’ll be sharing dedicated content to celebrate the work of SAS anaesthetists. So, if you're curious about the benefits of a SAS career, looking for advice on stepping into leadership roles, or ready to explore our SAS Handbook - we've got you covered.
#SASWeek25 starts tomorrow. Many will celebrate with best practice sharing and showcasing of some of the finest medical colleagues the UK has.
Big national organisations👇and NHS Trusts have committed to action- #SASsix and are actively working and monitoing progress on it.
Come and join them.
SAS six infographic, featuring the six asks to make a SAS career a viable alternative. Every early career SAS doctor should have access to an educational supervisor. All SAS doctors should have equity of access to professional development opportunities relevant to their stage of career. All specialty doctors who meet the required capabilities should have the opportunity to become specialists. Senior SAS doctors should be offered the opportunity to be educators at every level on a par with consultants e.g. educational supervisors, clinical supervisors, directors of medical education. All extended roles in leadership and management should be open to all substantive medical staff that is, consultants and appropriately experienced SAS doctors. All LEDs employed for more than two years within one NHS employer should be offered the opportunity to transfer to the appropriate SAS contract.
