I love Yeonsol so very much!
𝘊𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘴 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘐 𝘨𝘰 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘱

that's why I haven't been writing like usually will. I will be updating those fics but I have a lot of things to do IRL that are keeping me from writing.

A little update just to clear the air is all.

I haven't updated my fic's in a while and I just wanted to let everyone know that it's not because I've lost passion for the series, on the contrary the longer I can't write the more ideas are suddenly in my drafts folder. I've been busy with college and studying lately so+

Some days, writing is whipping up many many words. Flourishing in our creative lanes. Other days, it's thinking “I want to write, but what the hell do I write, and how do I write it???” all while having our 4-7 ongoing WIPs open in front of us

Then after that comes the romance.

It is something about this series that I adore because it feels like it was tailor made just for me and my very specific taste.

Seriously has me lying awake at night thinking about it.

That, is the main plot of this story. That, and then after that comes the subplot of gender roles that is prevalent throughout the entire series from main plots like Nari, and the bullying arcs to the jokes that Jinwoo makes about Yeonwoo being quite feminine for a guy.

Typically trauma is something that you overcome by the end of the story but in Yeonwoo's Innocence the beginning of healing process is the end of the story.

At the end of their story they are not healed. They are beginning to heal and I find that so very touching and beautiful because it is so contrary to a lot of ways trauma is depicted.

On the contrary, Haesol has not even begun to delve deep into her trauma and how her trauma has affected every aspect of her life and Yeonwoo is still very terrified of the truth of his past getting out and his codependent tendencies still peek through even after he talked with Junhyuk.

First and foremost, this is a story about healing, not in the traditional way healing is portrayed at the end of the series Yeonwoo and Haesol are not healed from their trauma in the usual way we see trauma portrayed in media where, once the main character finds their love interest they are healed.

Yeonwoo's Innocence is first and foremost a story about trauma and how you learn to live with your trauma. How trauma shapes you, and how trauma affects your view of yourself and the world around you+

Now that may sound crazy when I say that but genuinely think about it.

The romance in Yeonwoo's Innocence is a subplot.

It's why sometimes you might feel a want for more because the romance is important but it's not the most important+

that are a lot better than stories where romance is the main aspect of the story.

Another reason why I love Yeonwoo's Innocence so much because even though the genre tag does say romance on webtoons and other sites the main focus is not the relationship between Haesol and Yeonwoo+

I love romance as a genre but I personally think that romance as a genre only works when it is not the main focus of the plot.

Like when romance is a secondary plot thread or even a tertiary plot I find that the stories that have that are a lot better +

When I find out how to make a starter pack here I'll put everyone who likes Yeonwoo's Innocence and makes content for it so we have a little community here on bsky. I wonder if bluesky will have communities like twt and tumblr cuz It'll be like on big group chat. Plus the lists are not it for me

I have no clue what is going on and frankly I'm annoyed af about this. I just wanna enjoy Yeonwoo mpreg in peace and men have to ruin it I'm so mad!!!

Ya i see it tbh. It's not just Yeonwoo but everyone. The lines are thinner and sharper which makes things not as soft. For me my fav looking chapters are around season 2. I still like the current art style though. It shows Esol is still experimenting and I think it'll change again as she keeps at it
