Thou shalt not talk about BribeJet or pictures of seashells or criticize his morality or call his mental condition into question or else he will get really really angry and post an ALL CAPS LIE on LieSocial and then sue you and eventually lose. So you know, oh no.

And they don't mention that "MySchoolBucks" is a for-profit site that charges a fee to add money to the student's lunch account. It's just profiteering off of hungry kids.

Highly esteemed Mrs. Curie,

Do not laugh at me for writing you without having anything sensible to say. But I am so enraged by the base manner in which the public is presently daring to concern itself with you that I absolutely must give vent to this feeling. However, I am convinced that you consistently despise this rabble, whether it obsequiously lavishes respect on you or whether it attempts to satiate its lust for sensationalism!

I am impelled to tell you how much I have come to admire your intellect, your drive, and your honesty, and that I consider myself lucky to have made your personal acquaintance in Brussels. Anyone who does not number among these reptiles is certainly happy, now as before, that we have such personages among us as you, and Langevin too, real people with whom one feels privileged to be in contact. If the rabble continues to occupy itself with you, then simply don’t read that hogwash, but rather leave it to the reptile for whom it has been fabricated.

With most amicable regards to you, Langevin, and Perrin, yours very truly,
A. Einstein

Einstein's first letter to Marie Curie in 1911, and his advice on how to deal with haters:
"If the rabble continues to occupy itself with you, then simply don’t read that hogwash, but rather leave it to the reptile for whom it has been fabricated."

No problem. Love my Governor - she's badass but wouldn't advocate for something illegal.

Photo of trump and Maine Governor Janet Mills with text: "Everyone who has commented about Mills and the transgender issue needs to go back to the beginning at the governors' meeting when President Trump declared that HE and his executive orders were the law (listen to the original argument between Mills and Trump.) Here is a clean and concise explanation of that argument, which is based in a states rights issue, not a transgender one. Title IX, the law that Trump's executive order is based on, was written in 1972 and does NOT address gender identity because transgender was not even a word back then. President Biden issued an executive order in his last year to add gender identity to Title IX based on Title VIII. The Supreme Court blocked that executive order, saying that it violated the American Procedures Act, so it was never added. President Trump issued an Executive Order to block gender identity utilizing Title IX in the SAME EXACT way President Biden did. However, an executive order must be based on existing federal law, and Title IX does not address gender identity, so there is no federal law. This means the executive order is not valid. The court case on that is working its way through the courts right now, but when no federal law exists, state law prevails. (federal versus states rights in the Constitution). The Maine Human Rights Act was updated by the Maine Legislature (not Mills) to add gender identity as a protected category, so that is the law Mills must follow. That is the law Maine schools must follow. President Trump is acting like a backyard bully by throwing a temper tantrum and 'penalizing' Maine left and right on this issue because Mills will not follow what he tells her to do. Newsflash, the President of the United States doesn't dictate federal law. Congress does. Mills, is obeying her oath to enforce the Maine constitution and our laws. She has said that Maine has a long history of standing up to bullies, and in that, I agree."

So that $10B bailout for farmers.

Is it a payout for political support? Yeah. Bold move for an industry that talks so much about hard work & independence!

But it's also worse than that. This is a US food crisis in the making.

Let's talk about the payoff part first?

John Lewis Never Stopped Bending the Arc Toward Justice In the last days of his life, the civil rights icon hailed Black Lives Matter protesters: β€œThey’re going to help redeem the soul of America.”

"When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have a moral obligation to do something about it." - John Lewis.

It's not enough to simply recognize something is wrong; we have a moral duty to act.

Four-block comic series. First block shows a male announcer sitting at a desk holding a microphone saying "It is finally Super Bowl Sunday". Second block shows first announcer and a second announcer now holding the microphone putting on an owl mask. He says "Or as some people like to say, Superb Owl Sunday.". Third block shows them both laughing. Fourth block shows an owl sitting on a branch holding a beverage with a stir-stick watching TV. He says "We get one holiday the entire year and it's just a big fucking joke to you people." Captioned by Otterly Human.
