Yesterday marked twice that everyone around me in my section was crying at a Sounders game. The first time was tears of joy for Nouhou's second goal of his MLS career, yesterday was tears of anguish for our fallen captain Stefan Frei. Both times I was reminded how soccer connects us as community.

The only thing positive I can think that will come out of all of this is the art. After 25 years of Disney shoving popstars and super heroes down our throats we are over due for some scorching punk rock and grimey resistance art or whatever the gen alpha kids who grew up in COVID will come up with.
