03.02.2026 13:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This shorts user guide is a useful first step for catchment and environmental managers eager to address eutrophication and associated impacts on their watercourse. It covers some of the essential science, how to apply it and how Atomic Ecology can help.
03.02.2026 13:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Europe has a nitrate problem - essential to our agriculture but harmful to freshwater and coastal habitats, nitrate pollution has become fact of life. Isotopes have a huge, but largely untapped, potential to identify point sources of nitrate and also estimate where that nitrate originated.

The advantages are multiple and costs are mdoest, whether characterising diet, habitat use or intra-specific variability, isotope based metrics provide robust information on the mechanics underpinning valuable stocks and fisheries.
28.01.2026 14:40 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0At a workshop last week, a couple of colleagues and I started discussing why stable isotope based approaches so prevalent in academic research are rarely seen in applied fishery management.
28.01.2026 14:40 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0stop using AI to do your research. it hallucinates too often. if you want an answer to something, post something arrogant on the appropriate subreddit. something like: "this item performs 10% better than everything else. only idiots deny this." this will bait nerds into doing your research for you.
