i think if he had a third song, it would've been covered; trial 3 has been mostly straightforward tellings of the inciting events that led to the murders so we likely would've seen the crash and the patient he was forced to work on; i think of that last shot of him in triage too, he's just that cold

they really do feel like they're on the same wavelength, this is what happens when life is too blessed 😭

i think it's what makes him so fascinating... shidou couldn't care less about his murder victim and felt no remorse for it to his dying breath, but he's so crushed by having his profession's ethics turned on him that he wants to be killed for it. how do you even begin to deal with someone like that.

i think the contrast of mahiru being so genuine against his "deceit" theming always made me question how genuine his motives were...& it turns out he WAS being deceitful bc his crime was never what he kept saying he should be punished for, but something else that ppl would obviously view differently

he's worse than doktor now that i think about it; at least kirihito guuji felt bad enough to apologize during his attempted murders of the protagonist and sasara, shidou would've not even glanced back at the bodies if it meant he could have his entire family back in perfect health lmao

because. shidou was never in milgram for the things he Felt guilt over; his guilt was entirely misplaced and had almost nothing to do with his actual crime; he never regretted killing that man to see his family sooner, and when he got his results he only thought about others in his position. insane.

i think teddie is fine when it's just him and the protagonist/nanako, but stick him with two or more of the other IT and he quickly becomes the most annoying one in the room 😭 oh well
yukiko got hit with it a bit, she was a "ditzy hyena" early on, but they eased off after a while and she got better

teddie has it the hardest of the animals for sure, he has a lot of endearing moments but he also becomes very irritating very quickly because of his personality/design lol
it's probably why rise is so beloved now; she never fully fell victim to her "gag" so she remains the most balanced character
