i think i generally tend to appreciate a slower pace unless it's motivated by like rising tension etc.

there are some modern shows i'll watch, like this improv game show thing my friends like, that will blast my eyes out. someone will just be talking but they still cut to a new shot every 2 seconds

i've found myself paying more active attention to editing recently to try to learn. i think it's harder to passively learn about it because you really only notice it when it's done poorly. i literally end up counting mississippis while I'm watching
