There was a lot of people complaining about Pike saving that planet in Children of Comet, just bc prime directive. Prime directive shouldn't say "let them die". And it's the Phlox's line of thinking in Dear Doctor, but with "evolution say so", and it doesn't say anything.

I think Star Trek uses to much of an eurocentric concept of development, so "why wouldn't they?".

I think that is good to prevent cultural contamination, but the prime directive is not the better way to do it.

Darmok did it better, and it was just one eps.

I dislike a bunch of it bc of how it treats linguistics, Star Trek should pay more attention to human sciences, the same way they do to biology of physics.

In Star Trek future people went to war.

In Wall-e future, for example, people watched silently.

I think moving it to the futurer was a good idea, just to not good used. They had no idea how to make the 31st a interesting era. They should have sending them post-Voyager, or to Time Cold War era.

Phlox was wrong in Dear Doctor and the Pike was right in Children of the Comet.

The "Pre/Post-Warp" being necessary to it being valid always seemed a bit random to me. You can't measure a civilization based on its technological advantages.

Inclusive, fui uma coisa q eu senti falta no filme, já q ele falava muito de linguística. "como A Chegada dos aliens estava impactando as culturas locais, e como essa mudança cultural afetou as línguas?"

Talvez fosse outro filme, e por isso n foi feito.

Assisti a Chegada essa semana e fiquei pensando nisso. Td mundo realmente ficou tão impactado assim? Ninguém fez uma piadinha? Nem pra quebrar o gelo?

Zé gotinha contra o Covid

Psé. Uma versão do diretor faria total diferença. E esse é o único filme ruim dele, então de repente valia a pena. Mas acho q ele tbm n deve mais ligar pra isso.

Eu tenho a impressão se Duna (1984) tivesse o msm tratamento de Blade Runner hj em dia ele seria um grande clássico. Pq esse filme claramente n era do Lynch e sim do estúdio. O Lynch nunca perderia tanto tempo explicando qq coisa na vida dele.

Michelle? Espero q n seja a mulher dele, pq seria vergonhoso chamar isso de "frente ampla". E outra, ele n tá inelegível, pra q falar em eleição?
