Kinda striking how often the current administration's justification for their actions is literally just "I want to do this and I won the election, therefore I can do this." The whole point of a functioning US system of govt is to PREVENT all-powerful monarchs, not to just choose them via elections.

We have a new adult rescue cat and while we're pretty sure she's almost totally deaf, she makes the tiniest little squeaks of happiness when she sees us and it's a balm on my heart today.

If the answer is no, don't go.

Because experienced organizers don't have sign up sheets for protests. They do, however, have legal support beforehand.

I highly recommend Terry Pratchett's Discworld, especially his middle and later works. He's a genius of a writer and has always helped me when I needed to regain my faith in humanity. He despised Fate and saw the helpers as the people they are and showed that we have that possiblity in us as well.
