28.04.2025 02:14 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0AlphaXiv (alphaxiv.org) just launched its new Communities feature, and Iโve started one for exoplanet enthusiasts!
Join us to like papers, comment, and connect with authors. The feature is still evolving, so your feedback will help shape the community we want.
3/3 The Hirano+2011 RM model has been integrated into EXOFASTv2. You can access it here (github.com/wangxianyu7/...). It will be merged into the main branch soon!
10.12.2024 13:37 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 02/3 Additionally, we found that high planet-star mass-ratio systems generally tend to be aligned, even for hot stars. XO-3 is the sole exception, where its misalignment may have been triggered by a stellar companion. The upcoming Gaia epoch data can test this hypothesis.
10.12.2024 13:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 01/3 We presented new Rossiter-McLaughlin effect measurements for the massive planet/brown dwarf XO-3 (Mp ~ 13 MJ) using NEID spectra. We confirmed that it remains misaligned (~41 degrees) with no evidence of temporal variation.

From Misaligned Sub-Saturns to Aligned Brown Dwarfs: The Highest Mp/Mโ Systems Exhibit Low Obliquities, Even around Hot Stars
Working on it! Hopefully, we can have it before Christmas.
