It was my first (Thai BL). I remember being impressed by the kissing and disoriented by everything else. Probably because I needed to acclimatise to Thai Blness.

My iQIYI tv app has been glitching for a few weeks. It freezes/sound disappears. Reinstalling doesn’t help. It’s an Android tv and having no issues with other apps.

It's not terrible. Just very gently paced. Everyone chats and/or does snow stuff in ep 19.
And all the snow messes with my head because I'm in the Southern Hemisphere, expecting a 36 C day tomorrow 😄

The pace of ep 19 was glacial (excuse the appalling pun) but I find the pacing better than #AmidstASnowStormOfLove. I was obsessed with the first 6 episodes of that but my interest dropped rapidly and I struggled to finish it.

I suspect they're following the novel too closely. I would say cut it back from 36 to 24 episodes.

I feel the romantic tension has been lost with the prolonged "pursuing" phase. Plus too much SML. It's getting old.

Have you read Golden Terrace? I read the previous edition but it's being released by Seven Seas. I regularly reread passages.

It's been a difficult year for me in many ways and BL (the dramas and danmei) helped me escape and relax.

It's definitely not a BL but I think #CinderellaCloset deserves a mention for its open and positive representation of cross-dressing character.

Totally agree with your assessment of the bright spot of this drama. It kept me going. Also, there was some good music.
