Please keep in mind that of the roughly 7,000 SS personnel who served at the Auschwitz complex, only 63 were tried in post-war trials in Poland and Germany.
Of course we'd arranged it a couple of weeks ago when there wasn't a storm in sight... 🤔

Thank goodness for Bernard Hickey. RNZ managed to drop the biggest strikes in 40 years and the pushback against govt policies from its headlines after just one day.

The planned outage didn't happen but the one on the peninsula did (did I mention irony?) Anyway we drove back yesterday, avoiding trees that had come down the cliff. Phew..!

Happy Friday to the super wealthy country where 150,000 children live in poverty. That's about 1-in-8 young kiwis. Obviously, there is simply nothing to be done about this.

NZ is in the middle of an extreme weather event.
Climate change makes these winds, storms, fires and floods more frequent and intense.
Right now, the Luxon Govt is actively undermining global efforts to reduce climate pollution.
Hold them accountable.
This government is favouring profits for the dairy industry, the oil industry, the mining industry and leaving the rest of us to pay the price.
