Happy overall with my performance. Didn’t expect to make top 128 so that was a fantastic way to end. Going to play in a value vintage event tomorrow to end the weekend.

Went 1-2 in 6 drop cube to drop out of the main event. I was the 0-2 bracket so I played a stressfree match. I was trying to do way too fair things in this cube. One of my opponents reanimated 7 6 drops game 1 and then played a turn 3 6 drop Lili and I couldn’t do anything about it

Went 2-1 with this deck. Lost in the finals to a WotC designer in some tight games. Game 2 was also a nail bitter but all in all, great games. Locked in top 128 so I get to draft more cube!

My spike is coming out! 😅 Drafted the Chicago Cube. Designed around 10 3 color legends in a relatively high power synergy cube. Because I want to stay in top 128, I went with my tried and true removal plus mid power creatures. I think I have almost every shock variant in the cube!

Phew, clinched the 2-1 at the end there. My deck felt really solid and I am extremely happy how I navigated that draft and carved out my lane. I’d like to run back match two like 10 more times to see who would come out, but overall, extremely happy. Trying not to let the standings affect my play! 😅

0-2 loss to getting a bane fire to the face with lethal on board game 2. I’m doing my best to not salt out and be a gracious loser but I really wanted this one. Not sure if I needed to mulligan game 2 or not, but live and learn.

First draft of day 2 #CubeCon2025 and its dragons of winters night. A desert cube themed around snow (and dragons). Took my experience with my Khans set cube and drafted a simic beaters tempo deck built to fight and tap creatures and beat face. 1-0 so far!

3-0 again!! 🥳🥳

Turns out only slightly leaning into the bits of cubes works out very well. That, and disenchants in an artifact heavy cube.

2-1. Golems continue to do golem things. My loss was due a 6/4 on turn 2 that I forgot to play spheres to be able to play my disenchant.

2-0 to start! Strong evidence so far to the theory of “just play as normal of a deck you can”. All the splicers were very good in my deck. We will see if any of the fun cards in my pool are actually castable.

Staying late with the other cube sickos at the Late to Dinner draft! Drafted the ball pit. This is my deck. You play every card you draft in 4 by 15 packs. Every card can be played as chromatic sphere face down. Testing out my theory of only lightly caring about casting spheres.

2-0 for the 3-0!! I can rest easier now that I have my 3-0 pin. A key top deck of Act of Treason to steal my opponents Shadowborn demon (which I they had been recurring with Oversold cemetery) on the turn before they would have closed the door clinched it up for me.

Finally had a game 3 and it was tense! Ended 2-1 but totally could have swung either way. Turns out fliers are still good!

2-0 match one! Have been allergic to game 3 all day apparently. Deck functioned very well and the balance of threat and answers seemed right.

Draft 2 was Alpha Reimagined! A cube that asks what a more modern and up to date “fixed” version of alpha was draftable. I landed in a pretty solid Boros deck just playing good creatures.

Also taking advantage fully of my #ConHack of packing a lunchbox with a loaf of bread, and jar of peanut butter instead of paying for con hall food

0-2 in turns for round 3. The enchantress deck was a bit too resilient for me to deal with. Overall, great cube and beautiful foils to play with.

Switching it right up going 2-0 in round 2! Critical answers right on time and denying cards with counters or Cabal Interrogator was the key in this one.

Roadwarden is great! I did another 2 play throughs immediately after finishing my first and I definitely will be going back every so often

A temur draft deck of Tarkir Dragonstorm

7-0* Tarkir: Dragonstorm deck! Second trophy of the format! Not sure what was happening but I was handed 3 rares after my p1p1 Roar.

I technically went 7-2 when I disconnected and was somehow allowed to queue again, which forced 2 game losses. Most stressful draft I ever ever had.
