Taking my trash out tonight and this random lady walking by asks from across the road (low-key scares the shit out of me because I didn't expect her to say anything to me) if our trash/recycling bins are out front on the road all the time or if tomorrow is collection day?

The lady next to me at Hamilton tonight has apparently never seen the show before, and I'm relieved that she thinks my enthusiasm is endearing rather than annoying (as I quietly jam out to every song).

We were at my friend's farm this summer, and Harper took off after a barn cat. She didn't realize the tree line the cat ran into was a steep hill down to the creek. Took a good 3x3 chunk of skin off her chest and went back to sniffing the property.

It doesn't help that they just have tissue paper skin. Harper will bump into something a little too hard and start bleeding. Dramatic in every part of their lives I suppose!

Certainly missing a leg doesn't help that immediate perception. The reality is it was such a freak infection after a surgery. She literally could not have been in better hands than the program at OSU or with her foster who was literally a vet student.

Shit happens, and she does so well regardless.

She did! I can tell she loved it because she raced for about 2.5 years, some good wins under her belt! And there's no forcing this girl to do anything she doesn't want to do lol

She's so sweet and polite, she was clearly treated well. She just needs time to get to know strangers, and that's okay.

Exactly! She's ready to take off after small fluffy things at 40 mph at any given moment, which coincidentally also means she's ready to run away from literally anything else at the same speed haha
