3D printed mini-placentas offer a new way to study pregnancy complications
‘Placental organoids’ may help research into the early stages of pregnancy and life-threatening conditions like preeclampsia.
"Animal placentas are often distinct from human ones, so studying them is of limited use," leaving pregnancy researchers in the dark. But now, @utsengage.bsky.social scientists have developed a critical research tool: bioprinted human placental #organoids. 🧪
