Wardlow gate & squeeze stile combo, take your pick. I enjoy how unceremoniously massive the boulder slab is. Could it have been there originally? must weigh a tonne. Terrible blurry photo because I was sodden, you can still see the weather system that got me behind the brow of the hill there. Excellent endless white peak stone walls round here too, love a field with a gnarled old tree in one corner which blatantly reads “my land goes up to the old oak, and not an inch less”.

Rows of rectangular office windows and fairly hazardous looking stairwell of the Graham Hills building in Glasgow. The outdoor stairwell has seen its fair share of Glasgow weather fronts over the years, it looks incredibly damp, rusty and sad, even from a distance. Some signs of life and warmth in the potted plants inside a few of the rooms. Slate grey concrete shell with cool grey cladding & concrete stairwell. In the right hand corner what looks to be a fire escape & wire mesh fencing just to add a bit more unease. ❄️

Edward Street Flats archway and road entrance which leads to the courtyard in the centre. The flats are built in a huge ‘D’ shape with play area & sports court in the middle. This is a really early build, interwar -unsure of exact date- and tbh it still looks great. Social housing (probably mixed now but would have been originally) with loads of community spirit & flair. ++ good location for a notice sign safari

A stone inscribed ‘Take Off’ with basic emblem underneath Take Off stones marked the point at which heavy carts would attach additional horses to heavily laden carts to help them up the hill. Various civic notices telling you to F off in different ways. the story goes that this was intended as public right of way but never opened due to potential security risks

Tiered levels of the Moorfoot building red brick, reflective windows & concrete base. The building was completed in 1981 and until recently was home to Sheffield City Council. There are future plans in place for its redevelopment into apartments.
